Project Engineer
PROJECT ENGINEER
American Bridge Company seeks a Project Engineer to work in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, and unanticipated locations throughout the United States (relocation required). Will focus on Marine Transportation planning, execution, and coordination of various projects. Duties will include: (i) overseeing project staff to ensure proper safety and control measures are implemented in accordance with the project’s Technical Requirements; (ii) coordinating all marine transportation and traffic operations; (iii) attending stakeholder meetings and coordinating project activities and site access with relevant stakeholders and authorities; (iv) overseeing all requirements that contribute to convenience, safety, and orderly movement of marine traffic; (v) providing notice to Local Mariner information to the USCG in accordance with Applicable Law; (vi) recording all marine work activities, transportation, list of barges, asset allocation, marine equipment in use and not in use, coordination and inspections in daily diaries , and client liaison/submittals.
This position is for a roving employee who will work in unanticipated locations throughout the United States. The employee will have to relocate, but travel is not required from any particular location.
Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience in a related position on projects of moderate to major scope.
Must have any experience with: (i) managing project personnel specializing in marine operations; (ii) sourcing, procurement, management, mobilization and demobilization of marine assets; (iii) subcontractor procurement and management, charter & rental agreements; (iv) developing RFPs and work plans for marine operations, JHAs and task briefings, mooring applications and management practices for marine operations; (v) ballast plans, roll on & roll off operations for marine cranes and deck segments (including SPMTs), barge outfitting with ballasting systems, GPS software, anchor deployment equipment and fendering, marine concrete deliveries; (vi) Port Authority liaison, Pilot assignation, towage assets and 3rd Party interfacing within Port Terminal environment, planning and execution of major marine operations within waters of navigation. Relocation required.
Experience can be concurrent.
